IT WORKS!  The crank at it’s side turns nicely, the bells ring great, everything is in working order……in fact, someone has adapted it to be a modern telephone with a dial on the inside.  It needs the end of the telephone cord  plug to plug in to a receptacle.

up for no reserve auction is an antiques crank style telephone. i have looked all over this thing and can’t find model or manufacturer anywhere. only marking is 58 on inside next to one of the hinges. have had for a long time, but not exactly sure how old it is. remember this when i was a kid cranking it so i know the crank isn’t locked up or anything( i assume it matters? ) crank handle is missing hint to kids playing. looks like second bell is missing and …
