Here are some nice parts for an antique telephone. The writing says The Stromberg Carlson Tel. Mfg. Co. Chicago. U.S.A. with pat. dates. The first being June 12, 94 and the last Oct. 5 1900. It is also marked on the ear piece. The ear piece is bakelite with some silver metal and some brass plated.The other piece is painted black metal with some brass parts. Notice the hand painted design on some of the pieces. This is all original and marked Stromberg Carlson in 3 different places.  The condition …

From a retired person who worked at WESTERN ELECTRIC comes old stock in a company envelope filled with graphite pellets. Thanks to an educated E-bayer…here are what these are: These are graphite pellets that are used in the mouthpiece of older telephones, usually used in the 1920 and up to the late 1980’s. If you examin the back of the mouthpiece you will notice a small metal retaining cap that is cripmed shut. This cap serves as the center contact for that mouthpiece.
