Antique OAK KELLOGG Wall Phone Box Case Shelf Brass Tag

Up for a LOW STARTING***NO RESERVE auction is a antique KELLOGG oak telephone box/case with shelf that has been partially refinished.

Selling due to an estate liquidation. The owner took this phone apart, started refinishing the case and never completed it. I have all of the parts he had removed listed on a separate auction.

This auction includes the oak back board and what you see attached to it, the oak center case section with two shelves, the oak front door, the oak shelf and the brass "KELLOGG SWITCHBOARD and SUPPLY COMPANY" tag.

All of the beautifully grained oak is in very good antique condition except the shelf, it has a ding to the back corner, shown in photos #17 & 18.

The back piece measures 10" x 25 3/4" at the longest points, all edges are beveled and the top is scalloped. The center section measures 4" x 8 1/2" x 20 1/4" and has 1130 impressed into the wood on the side, above the opening for the arm hanger, shown in photo #9. Front cover measures 8 3/4" x 20 1/2" and has 3 hinges screwed into it. No loose screws were found with the phone or the parts. Shelf measures 7" x 10 1/2". Brass tag measures 1" x 3" and is tarnished.

Antique Kellogg Oak Wall Phone

As seen in the pictures this is an antique Kellogg phone. It has a capacitor inside marked Kellogg. When it is cranked it rings nicely. I do not know if this phone works and I have never had it plugged in. It looks as though the original wiring is in place. I think these had batteries but I may be mistaken. This one does not have a battery. The oak box has the normal wear you would find in a phone of this age. This weighs about 24 pounds and it measures, 20 inches by 9 inches by 14 inches. This item is being sold as is so please if you have any questions about anything for this phone you can email me prior to bidding or before the end of the auction. The winning bidder pays for the shipping and the rate quoted is for shipping within the lower 48 states of the United States. The winning bidder must notify me within 3 days after the end of the auction with their intentions of payment. Up for a LOW STARTING***NO RESERVE auction is a large lot of parts found with a antique oak KELLOGG wall phone.

Selling due to an estate liquidation. The owner had disassembled the phone, started refinishing the case and never got it completed. I have the oak case listed on a separate auction.

This auction includes all the parts and pieces seen in the photos, there were no loose screws or other pieces found.

Most of the parts appear to be in good used cosmetic condition, showing age and wear and are in need of cleaning. These parts were found in a box with the oak case but I don't know if they all came out of the oak case or if they are all original (obviously the phone did not come with 2 receivers) so I am selling as is for parts or repair.

The transmitter arm has light surface rust, silver tone end cap is missing one tiny screw and is marked: KELLOGG / CHICAGO,U.S.A. / PAT'D, NOV.26,1901. / NO.234137-L. Mouthpiece has a lot of wear with most of the black worn down around the outside edge. One receiver has a broken end, the other is in tact and marked: WESTERN ELECTRIC / MADE IN U.S.A. / 114 / PATENT 1262838. The condenser appears to have DEC 1900 printed on the date line and it is cracked on the end with the wires, photo # 15. Supersize the photos, take a good look and ask any questions.
